NICU Hospital for my journeyHCA Trinity Hospital
My NICU Graduate's JourneyOliver was born at 35 weeks via induction because mom's amniotic fluid was dangerously low. At first, they sent him into the postpartum room with mom and dad, but when a nurse came to check on him in the night, she took him to the NICU for observation because he wasn't breathing quite right. Oliver ended up staying a week in the NICU until the doctors were comfortable sending him home. He thrived once he was on a regular diet and able to be with Mama. He is now about to be 5 years old and graduating VPK! He loves baseball, trampoline parks, swimming, and Legos. He is the light of our life.
What makes you proud of your NICU graduate?Oliver has overcome obstacles such as spasmodic croup and slight asthma due to his lungs not developing fully in utero. He can play sports and run without getting winded. He truly is such a happy boy and he makes everyone smile.
