NICU Hospital for my journeyTexas Health Health Resources
My NICU Graduate's JourneyOur son was born with Prune Belly Syndrome and was taken to the NICU immediately after birth. The day after he was born, he underwent surgery, and our world changed so fast. He spent 2 weeks in the NICU fighting through every challenge thrown his way. One of the hardest parts was that he would not eat on his own, so every small step forward felt huge to us. Watching such a tiny baby go through surgery and recovery was heartbreaking, but he showed so much strength from the very beginning. The NICU staff at Texas Health Resources supported and cared for him every step of the way, and we are forever grateful for the love and care they gave our family during such a difficult time. Today, he is our little miracle and a reminder of how strong even the tiniest babies can be.
What makes you proud of your NICU graduate?I am proud of how strong and resilient he is. Even after surgery and a difficult start to life, he kept fighting every single day. Watching him overcome challenges that most babies never have to face showed me just how brave he truly is. He is our miracle, and seeing how far he has come makes me proud beyond words.
