Bear is nothing short of a miracle. We found him out at the Baylands last year starving and in desperate need of care. Dr. Rudiger saved his life. He weighed 4 lbs., had ringworm, fleas, lice and a major internal infection. She did everything she could for him, but didn’t expect him to live more than a week. We brought him home, spoon fed him, and gave him more love than he could ever ask for. Within a week he gained 1.5 lbs. We took him back in for another blood test and lo and behold he was back to normal and continued to gain weight. He is now a thriving 15 year old who is up to 13lbs. He loves to wrestle with his brother Eric and always comes out on top. He is incredibly courageous and in spite of what he’s been through, we feel he’s forgotten his difficult past due to the tremendous amount of devotion and love he gets every day. He is an absolute blessing and we’re so proud he’s a part of the family.
