We adopted this wonderful cat from Nine Lives at their old Spring Street location. He was a few months old at the time and had been rescued from feral circumstances, we were told. He's always had a primal quality about him. For example, our attempt to keep him an indoor cat proved futile, but we did manage to train him (hah!) to always come in at night. We took a while to choose his name, running through a large number of candidates until we hit on Dewey, which seemed to fit his personality just right.

Dewey's always been a lap cat, preferably a lap covered with a soft blanket. He came with a short, slightly bent tail. We don't know the backstory on this but decided early on not to ask him about it.
