After our 5 year old Cat, Peter died suddenly I was heart broken. My daughter told me that I needed to go adopt a kitten immediately, so I went to the Humane Society looking for a Black Kitten. I approached a blue eyed black beauty in a crate and he made eye contact with me and held it. I knew he was saying that I would belong to him. I took him out of the crate and into the play room and spent some time with him. I took me about 2 minutes to decide that he was coming home with me. Never has anything brought me as much joy as Emmett has. Each day his antics bring laughter into our house, and while Emmett did not take the pain of losing Peter away he certainly replaced the tears with laughter.
