Amazing what comes in Amazon boxes these days!!
Actually, despite the picture, he didn't actually reach us 2-day free shipping... He just likes playing in the box 🙂.
We met Wampus, then known as "Jefferson", hiding under his little blanket at Nine Lives after we'd made several visits to the shelter to find a cat that would choose us to be its forever humans. All we could see were his big orange fluffy tail, long whiskers and huge eyes .. He wasn't coming out... But we fell in love. His previous companion human, a history teacher in San Jose (hence his being named after a President!) had passed away suddenly and his 2 kitty siblings adopted so he was alone and terrified :(.
Now he's settled in, it's obvious he's just an amazing beast!!! As a friend says, "That Wampus kinda rules!"
He pounces on water droplets in the shower and wonders why his nose keeps getting wet... He gives me a high-five when he wants treats... He manages to turn every one of my black clothing items a (hairy) orange & white color .. & he does a fantastic job of protecting the household from those pesky plushy stuffed mice toys - to which he sings (!!!) as he bravely hunts them down under the bed!
