Bella captured my heart when I attended the open house for the new facility in December of last year. Though I had gone to the open house with no intention of adopting, upon meeting Bella I immediately discovered that she was as sweet and loving as she was beautiful and I knew I had to make her mine. During her exit exam it was discovered that she was FIV+ and had mistakenly been placed in with the regular cats. I went ahead with the adoption, hoping that she would defy the odds and live a long and healthy life. Sadly, four months after bringing her home, her liver and kidneys began to fail. She also developed ulcers in her mouth that made it difficult for her to eat. She was hospitalized for 8 days but continued to go downhill. While battling these ailments she came down with pancreatitis. She lost her fight on April 25, 2019 but remained sweet and affectionate through it all. Though I only had her in my life for a little over 4 months, she left a huge impression on my heart and I miss her terribly.
