My fiancé and I searched several shelters in the Houston area for our next family member. We saw many dogs that we wanted to welcome into our home but one senior dog at BARC caught our eye and we decided to sleep on it. We woke up early the next morning to get to BARC as soon as they opened only to find the dog had been adopted. We began to look around more. Charley (then named Goofy) was curled up quietly in the corner of his kennel with his big brown eyes staring at me. We knew immediately he was ours! Nearly two years later, we can't imagine our family without him.
