Maybelle (then named Shelby) found herself in a shelter for at least the second time last summer. She was heart worm positive and looking for a family who wouldn't leave her again. When my husband went to the Houston Humane Society to browse the dozens of yearning dogs, he found one that he couldn't overlook. She immediately stole his heart and when she came home, she stole mine too! We couldn't fathom ever abandoning our sweet girl!
