How did this pet become a part of your family? (this info will included on the calendar if you win, so type carefully)
For years, our family has adopted hard to place, rescued pets. Jamey had been part of a feral colony and was placed in a high kill shelter. In the picture, you can see his left ear is "notched" showing he had been feral. A local rescue organization took him and he was successfully fostered to make him adoptable.

We adopted Jamey after losing our 18 year old cat, Jazz. We had a Maine Coon mix, Guinness, who was mourning the loss of his sister. We wanted another Maine Coon mix to be his companion.

Jamey assimilated to his new home and instantly bonded to his new "brother". He has been a joy in our family.
