Joey was found in a ditch apparently had been hit by a car. He had massive swelling at his tail-bone. x-ray revealed break. He did not have complete control over his bowels or urination. The rescue could find no one to take him to foster under these conditions. I took one look at how happy, active and amazingly sweet he was and took him. He has seen several vets to see if anything could be done to restore control. He had medication and even acupuncture with little improvement. He developed a major urinary infection. The only treatment was expensive surgery that rerouted his urinary tract. So $10K later... He must be monitored for signs of another infection and has had another one, but nothing stops him. He gets to go outside under supervision and for pictures. He is a true joy and all the other stuff matters not!
