Story behind the photo
Every morning without fail, as the first hint of sunlight slips through the curtains, Chichi springs into action. She's small, warm, and determined — a furry little guardian of routine.
The moment your eyes flutter open, before you can even stretch or turn over, she appears. With a soft thump, she lands squarely on your chest, her tiny paws planted with purpose, her eyes wide and expectant.
"Good morning," you mumble, still half-asleep. But she doesn't move until the ritual is complete — not until she’s said it first.
With a gentle rumble of purrs and a headbutt to your chin, Chichi delivers her greeting, silent but sacred. Only then does she curl up, satisfied, her mission accomplished for another day.
No matter what the day brings, it doesn’t begin until Chichi says so.
A little about me...
I showed up on the doorstep in the summer of 2022, carried there by my feral mama. I was small, scrappy, and curious about everything. I spent my days chasing robins, stalking squirrels, and climbing every tree in sight. But something about that porch felt like home. I started hanging around more… and one day, I brought a dead mouse as a gift. That’s when I knew — this human was mine.
