When our dog Frankie passed away 3/14/21 we grieved for a
year. I would dream of Frankie and he would become a bird and he said name the next dog "Magpie". We did some research on Magpies and found out that they have human face recognition along with many other outstanding skills as birds. On the anniversary of Frankie's death we started looking for a dog. Had some attempts with some rescue organizations but to no avail and then, we stumbled upon Posh Pet Rescue (where we adopted our Yorkshire Terrier, Titus) and we saw our "forever" dog....when we went to see him at the shelter in Long Island we fell in love as he did with us. As we were telling Melissa (Shelter caretaker) the story about Frankie and the Magpie reference which is why we were planning on naming him Magpie she looked a bit shocked...and said that there was a lovely dog named, "Magpie" a year ago but she passed away. Now what are the chances of that? He has been with us now since March 16th, 2022 and he is training well and is just the sweetest dog with other dogs and people. He was sent to us by our beautiful Frankie.
