Pet's Story
Izzy was rescued from a puppy mill in 2010 with her last litter of puppies when she was about a year and a half old. After coming to Northeast Animal Shelter, we adopted her and she now lives in Wakefield where she is a big hit around the neighborhood and at my office (she comes to work with me every day). She definitely runs the show at home, despite having some serious anxiety and separations issues. Regardless of all that - we love her to pieces and wouldn't trade her for the world. She's smart too - she got away from us once and went on a 2-week excursion to her best doggie friends' house over 8 miles from our house. We were so thankful for her resourcefulness, that she made it safely to their house and that she rejoined our family after we thought she was gone for good. Here she is sporting her Vampire-ess costume for a Halloween party at work.
