Pet's Story
We adopted our dog Zoe from the NE animal shelter 9 years ago and decided this summer that it was time to get another dog. In June my husband and daughter went to the shelter to look at the puppies with Zoe. They picked out Bella whose original name was Kayla. She had been in quarantine for a few weeks because she had a parasite so she was very skinny when they brought her home. She was 3 months old and weighed 12 lbs. Within about 2 weeks she weighed about 20 lbs and was much healthier. She is now 6 months old and weighs 35 lbs. She is the most lovable dog. She loves to cuddle and sit on our laps. I imagine that even if she gets to be about 60 lbs she will still be trying to sit on our laps. Zoe was not sure about her in the beginning but Bella has definitely brought excitement into her life and made her feel and act young again. We love both our shelter dogs and cannot imagine our lives without them.
