Being Jerry's dog mom is like having my own son who is an old man. I've been his mama for close to one year now, and up until that point I had only ever been a mother of cats. Jerry truly was a lost soul whose goopy cloudy eyes tell a story I will never know. I'm so proud to be his mama and feel very blessed that he's come into my life as it is our duty to care for the less fortunate. W hat I find fulfilling is his comfort in knowing he has a safe warm space to sleep. He emits such a positive untroubled spirit and gets really excited about the little things in life, like breakfast, lunch, suppies, and going outside. These simplicities are what make him happy regardless of his limitations and he has taught me a lot about being a good mama as well as about myself.
