Lucca came to us after having been in an animal shelter for a good part of her first 11 months. We decided to foster her but needless to say we failed as fosters on our first attempt since she totally won over our hearts almost immediately! We had a huge scare though with her swallowing a rock shortly after we’d adopted her but she survived emergency surgery and with the help of an excellent trainer she has learned to trust that we are her forever home …..and luckily she’s no longer interested in rocks!
