Moose was found as a stray in Mount Airy then transferred to NRGRR who was better able to foster and care for a dog who had been on his own for a very long time. For over 7 months, Moose was well cared for by many wonderful fosters but just couldn't catch a break finding his forever home through no fault of his own. But in May 2022, Moose became part of our family and is very much loved. Great things do come to those who wait! Moose is 2 1/2 years old, very smart/obedient and a great walking/running Buddy. He is very easy to train, eager to please and a lot of fun! He can fist bump, do burpees (yes, burpees!), roll over, play fetch, and has tremendous self control when treats are placed on his paws! The sky's the limit with Moose!! Fun fact - Moose was brought into the rescue as a Golden Retriever mix. DNA tests detected 13 breeds none of which is Golden Retriever!
