This is Maggie Moo, living her life to the fullest on a beautiful spring day. Moosie, as we called her, was the sweetest, most loving and well-behaved Golden I ever had the pleasure of fostering and adopting. She was easily trained as a certified therapy dog, and absolutely loved visiting assisted living facilities, where she was showered with love by the residents. It was heartwarming to see how much joy Moosie brought to those residents. Her frequent visits were much anticipated. (One couple, who suffered from dementia, truly thought that Moo was their dog, she visited them so often. And they always had her water bowl ready and waiting.)

Like so many Goldens before her, MaggieMoo succumbed to an unexpected, aggressive cancer in July 2020, only two months after this photo was taken by my daughter, Jenna. She is still sorely missed, and we haven’t adopted another dog for fear of holding them up to the high standards that Moosie set. Thank you, NRGRR, for bringing her into our lives.
