Pet(s) Story or Bio
I adopted Georgia in May of 2021 after fostering her for a month. The day I picked her up outside the vet, she was wearing a pink leash and jumped straight into my arms like she already knew she was home. I cried on the spot. We drove back in the Jeep with the top down, Dixie Chicks and Shania Twain playing the whole way. I knew then and there she was my girl.

I named her Georgia because she’s both sweet and sassy, just like a true Southern lady. She’s my adventure partner and everyday joy. She loves hiking winding trails, sunbathing in the backyard, and helping me in the garden by sniffing the herbs and keeping watch over the tomatoes.

One afternoon she insisted on climbing into the hammock with me, and now it’s her favorite place to lounge. She also loves to travel. Whether it’s a beach day, a mountain getaway, or her first golf cart ride around Bald Head Island, she is always up for the next adventure.

Georgia reminds me to slow down, savor the sunshine, and find magic in the simple things.
