Denali was adopted by his foster mom and dad who had immediately fallen in love with this handsome loving boy who had been surrendered by his previous owners; how could they resist? Denali was dog reactive at first and so mom began taking him on structured walks to socialize him. This was the beginning of the NRGRR walks at the North Carolina Museum on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Denali loved to chase the tennis ball with dad in their back yard, cuddle in bed, get lots of belly rubs, and go for rides in the car. Sadly, Denali passed rather suddenly in 2025 at the young age of 10. He is greatly missed but his legacy lives on at the museum as other dogs follow in his footsteps on their transformational journeys to becoming their best doggy selves.
