Bessie Mae came to Northwest Florida Great Dane Rescue from a municipal shelter in Central Florida. She had a number of health issues, and also was very shut down and fearful. She has slowly come out of her shell, though she is still very afraid of being confined in tight spaces. Because she feels safe at Casa Dane, she became a full member of the Casa Dane Krewe for Christmas last year. Now she hopes to help other pups in rescue like she was helped. She has a delightful, loving personality and enjoys playing with her krewemates. Bessie loves being hugged and being told that she is such a pretty, sweet girl, which she is! Bessie loves going for rides and visiting breweries and places where pups are welcome. When she goes out she is a very flirty girl with everyone she meets!
