I have never spent any time at an animal shelter, and my family tells me often - usually when I’m telling them I don’t want them to stop scritching me, or when I stretch out across the bed and they move over for me to give me more space - how lucky I am to have the life I do.

I want to do something to help other dogs and not-dogs (my family calls them cats) who haven’t got a fur-ever home yet have a safe place to stay until their family finds them. I thought entering this contest might help, and I hope people vote for me to help the cause.
