We acquired Layla after our 19 yr. old siamese passed, and our young Maine coon cross cat Merlin became depressed
Upon acquiring this little bundle of fluff it was apparent she was not well. Upon testing we had her dewormed and administered meds for suspected giardia. Her tiny body and her health continued to decline. The vet suggesting at 12 weeks of age to test her for tritrichamonis. A very tense three days and the tests returned positive. Over the next couple of weeks, she endured a very expensive regimen of drugs. A drug that could cause potential neurological damage or even death. The drugs were successful in treating this parasite and she came out of this drug regimen weak, but alive.
She has become a very much loved part of the family and is loved by all who come in contact with her. Her steady eddy friend Merlin loved to cuddle and sleep for endless hours together. Unfortunately this past week her roomy passed tragically from a stroke.
When the good Lord closes a door, he always opens a window.
