Pet's Story or Bio
We rescued Chester from the forest in Oakville, using an OMHS cage. At an estimated 4-5 weeks old, he fit in the palm of my hand and was terrified. How he survived alone remains a mystery. I took him in overnight (I already had 2 OMHS rescue cats and wasn't planning to grow my family) and planned to bring him to the OMHS the next day. Fast forward... Chester just celebrated his 9th birthday. He's my big baby and the love of my life. He's healthy, with a gorgeous coat and sings quite loudly around mealtimes!

This photo was taken when Chester was about 1 year old. He snuck up onto the kitchen table and burrowed his way through my morning newspaper like a jungle cat stalking its prey. The only difference was that Chester's intended prize was my breakfast plate!

Even though I no longer live in Oakville, I've been a proud sponsor of OMHS for over 10 years and will continue my support for years to come. A big thanks to the team who take care of all the fuzzy headed friends in residence! Keep up the great work!
