Rules

Rules:

Participants are not limited to Town of Oakville and the Town of Milton residents: everyone is welcome to participate. Voters are welcome from outside of Oakville, Milton and Canada.
The fee to enter is $25. This is tax-deductible.
Donations made in support of an animal are valued at one vote for every $1 donated.
There are 13 full pages to win (the cover and each month of the year). The top fundraiser will be awarded the cover; the top five (5) dog photos, the top five (5) cat photos, and the top two (2) other pet photos will be awarded a page in the 2020 OMHS Calendar when the contest ends on July 12^th, 2019.
The 13 winners will be asked to bring their pet to the Oakville & Milton Humane Society (445 Cornwall Road, Oakville) in order to have their pictures taken on Sunday July 21^st, 2019 from 10:00am to 1:15pm by Russell Gonsalves. Please see Prize page for slotted time for winners.
By agreeing to the waiver, you will also acknowledge and give permission to the Oakville & Milton Humane Society to use the name, story and photo of the animal entered in future various publications and materials, including the 2020 Calendar.
The Oakville & Milton Humane Society reserves the right to disqualify an entry based on objectionable content or depiction of the animal or persons in a photo. The registration fee will be not be refunded. Donations collected will be refunded if requested by the donor.
Photos will be accepted on the contest website from April 24^th, 2019 12:00am to July 12^th, 2019 11:59:59pm.

Indoor and outdoor requirements:

Dogs in photographs taken outdoors must be shown wearing a collar and ID tag.
Cats and domestic birds must only be shown indoors.

Submission is one pet PER photo.
The Oakville & Milton Humane Society is opposed to practices that prevent animals from expressing natural animal behaviours. Photos should not feature animals performing unnatural activities, including wearing clothing, or costumes.
