When I turned 50, that’s when I said ‘that’s it’ I’m bringing a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel home.! You see, I’ve been allergic to dogs my whole life. I love all dogs but was always in love with the adorable face of a Cavvie. Always.

Ricki came to my husband and I after a long search. When I originally spoke with her breeder, she said that all her pups were accounted for. After we chatted, she then said, well, I might have one pup available but won’t know for a few days. She was waiting to see if a previous client was going to take 1 or 2 pups. It turned out Ricki was available. After ‘interviewing’ with the breeder, we were told that Ricki could be ours.

All I can say is that it was the best decision ever! Ricki is a very loving and gentle companion. She is with us most of the time and enjoys coming out with us sailing and on road trips! She gives kisses to everybody:)

And all I do is take a mild antihistamine daily to cope with my allergies. No big deal. What took me so long?
