Pet's Story or Bio
Leia was a surrender to the OMHS. I understand that she was surrendered because her owner had to move in with their parents and one of them was very allergic to cats. I feel badly for this person who had to give up this sweet, and gentle natured cat. Rest assured that Leia has a loving home with two people who needed her companionship at a low point in their lives and who love her very much. My husband Jim, and I adopted Leia on May 15, 2020 after seeing her picture and bio on-line. I spoke to an adoption volunteer about her and decided that that we would take the chance and adopt her. We never actually met Leia until the day we adopted her. She quickly settled into her new home with us and become part of our family. Leia is a sweet and playful cat who came into our lives at a very stressful time. She has lifted our spirits with her sweet, loving nature and her love for play. One of her favourite things to do is watch out our many windows at the birds, squirrels, chipmunks and even the occasional fox. We call it cat TV. This picture was taken a day or two after we adopted her in her makeshift cat bed (which she loves) and a new toy.
