Rules

Rules:

Participants are not limited to Town of Oakville and the Town of Milton residents: everyone is welcome to participate. Voters are welcome from outside of Oakville, Milton and Canada.
The fee to enter is $25. This is tax-deductible.
Donations made in support of an animal are valued at one vote for every $1 donated.
There are 13 full pages to win (the cover and each month of the year). The top fundraiser will be awarded the cover; the top five (5) dog photos, the top five (5) cat photos, and the top two (2) other pet photos will be awarded a page in the 2021 OMHS Calendar when the contest ends on July 6^th, 2020
The 13 winners are asked to be available either the weekend of July 11th & 12th OR July 18th & 19th (due to COVID-19, this may be subject to change). When the contest ends, you will be contacted to schedule a specific time & date for your pets photo. The photos will be taken outside, in your home or at the shelter.
By agreeing to the waiver, you will also acknowledge and give permission to the Oakville & Milton Humane Society to use the name, story and photo of the animal entered in future various publications and materials, including the 2021 Calendar.
The Oakville & Milton Humane Society reserves the right to disqualify an entry based on objectionable content or depiction of the animal or persons in a photo. The registration fee will be not be refunded. Donations collected will be refunded if requested by the donor.
Photos will be accepted on the contest website from April 6^th 2020 12:00am to July 6^th 2020 11:59:59pm.

Image Requirements:

Pets who are shown outside:
- Dogs in photographs taken outdoors must be shown wearing a collar and ID tag.
- Cats and domestic birds must only be shown indoors.
Submission is one pet PER entry.
The Oakville & Milton Humane Society is opposed to practices that prevent animals from expressing natural animal behaviours. Photos should not feature animals performing unnatural activities, including wearing clothing/hats, or costumes.
