Pet's Story or Bio
Breton is a yellow long haired female Syrian hamster who was born on February 15, 2021. She has a heart of gold with a touch of extra sass and spunk! Unlike most other hamsters, Breton was an only child and had no siblings. As such, she believes herself to be an absolute hamster princess and that all humans are around to adore her. Given her cute face, she might be right!

Her favourite things include fresh vegetables (especially kale!) and her wooden houses. Like other hamsters, she has teeth that continually grow so she loves chewing to keep them healthy. You can occasionally find her lounging on top of her houses. She loves running on her 10" silent wheel and enjoys free roaming and playpen time in the evening.

Breton and her humans hope that they can help OMHS raise money to help more hamsters and small animals in need. While Breton is a very lucky hamster, many unwanted hamsters get dumped in shelters. Many are scared and may bite. They just need the loving hearts of amazing humans, like you, to help them come out of their shells. Hamsters make amazing pets when given the chance to thrive with patient humans and appropriate enclosures. Not many shelters will take in hamsters and try to find them new homes. This is why we love OMHS - their dedication to all animals big and small is admirable.
