Pet's Story or Bio
Sol managed to secure a spot in the 2024 calendar and has stolen the hearts of everyone who has seen him and heard his story and is returning again to try to raise money and get into the 2025 calendar!

Sol is a former bait dog from Mexico who we rescued in January 2022. He was so badly treated for his whole life - he was constantly attacked by the fighting dogs and so is missing pieces of his ears and fur, as well as having the muzzle scars on his face from constantly being muzzled 24/7.

Sol's most notable trait however, is his three legs. In one instance he managed to get his muzzle off to defend himself, which led to his captors beating him so badly that his back-left leg had to be amputated.

Despite all of this, Sol absolutely loves people and is one of the most affectionate dogs you could ever meet. Sol is Spanish for "Sun", which we felt fit his sunny disposition! He truly is an example of why we don't deserve these wonderful creatures!
