Meet Bubbles!

Bubbles was born in a barn in October of 2023. Unfortunately, Bubbles had a short life of only 7 months due to idiopathic epilepsy. My husband and I knew of Bubbles’ neurological condition when we adopted her, and with the knowledge of her short life expectancy. Those 107 days with Bubs are some of my favourite memories.

Weighing in at less than 4 lbs., Bubbles faced much adversity in her life. She was constantly at the ER vet and eventually was on four anti-convulsants which required 12 medication dosages a day. Her neurologist recommended an MRI, but could not promise she would ever wake up from anesthesia.

We eventually decided the most humane thing for Bubbles was to put her down. We had Midtown Mobile come to our home to euthanize Bubbles in the comfort of her own space. She laid on my lap while I laid with my husband, with her two sisters nearby.

She underwent aquamation (rather than cremation) and now her urn sits in our bedroom as a reminder of how special she was.
