A little about this photo...
When I took this photo, I didn’t realize that I was capturing an iconic and fleeting piece of the Ocean City Boardwalk. I simply wanted to keep the sentiment alive that brought two people together to demonstrate their love in a symbolic fashion. The lock was rusty but secure. It stood out strongly against the soft blue hues of the sky and ocean.. Now, this photo has even more layers of symbolism. The locks may have been removed but the love still lives on in the picture. That’s the power of photography.
