Blaze is a 10-year-old Siberian Husky that was a stray dog roaming the streets of a small town one late night. The caring people who found Blaze, kept him until the next morning, and called the local dog warden, who was me at the time. The minute that I picked him up and loaded him into a transport cage, I knew he was the one for me to adopt. This decision came after losing my beloved 13-year-old dog to cancer exactly one year before. A few days later while Blaze was at the humane society, I stopped by to adopt. Yes, even purebreds can be found at shelters and rescues. That is why it is always important to adopt and never shop.
