Max was rescued by my wife Patty. He was running in the street at a busy intersection hiding behind the tires of cars stopped at the red light. The wife parked her car and put the hazards on and ran after him.... she's not even a cat person... He made it across the street into a ditch in front of a Max And Erma's... hence the name. Patty waded through the weeds and brush to get him. Fell in love instantly. Took our 2 dogs time to adjust but they love him too.
