Gracie was born in Dec 2008, in a barn in Litchfield. I always say Gracie picked me. When I walked in the tack room, the mother cat and her other kittens huddled in the corner. One kitten came up to me and quietly meowed. I picked her up and she cuddled in my arms and began purring. I couldn't leave without her! Gracie is the sweetest cat. Everyone that meets her loves her, especially children. She likes to play soccer, and she will kick her ball to me when she wants to play! She likes to chill laying in the sun and she is happy in a cardboard box or on bubble wrap instead of a fancy cat bed! Since she can no longer jump on my bed to let me know it's time for breakfast, she has discovered ways to make noise to wake me up, one thing she does it flick the handles on my dresser. She is a finicky eater and only likes certain types of cat food and treats! Today she had surgery to remove a large polyp from her nasal passage which was blocking her airway and making it difficult to breathe and smell. Thankfully, the surgery went well and hopefully she will be with me for a long time!
