Quintin was the little runt of a litter of 5 tiny babies brought into an inhumane Humane Society. Kitties died in that place not in gas chambers but in their cages. They died emaciated, sick and lonely. By 5 months of age Quintin was the only one of the siblings still alive. At feeding time no matter how starved he was, Quintin always reached his paw out of the cage as far as he could. He wanted love before he wanted food. One night he started seizing, so I took him to the vet without the owner's permission. While healing, he fought for every breath he took, for every second he stayed alive. He taught me to never-ever give up on a sick kitten, not even if a vet thinks he'll die.
Quintin was my first failed foster,... and glad to say he wasn't the last!
