Story of Unconditional Love
Louie came to me from a local rescue. He'd been found wandering after the Joplin tornado and his family never came to get him. He ended up being sent to Maryland, where I adopted him. He has some fear issues, especially when he's around dogs his size or larger. Even so, when we were threatened by a large dog one day while walking, he put himself between me and the dog, to protect me. The dog ran home, but Louie stuck right next to me until we got back to the house. I know he'd give his life for me if he thought he had to, and I would do the same for him.
