Story of Unconditional Love
I fell in love with Paulie with the first picture posted of his freedom ride north. It was my secret until he became adoptable. I told no one that this was MY dog. Paulie was rescued from his outdoor world in 2015 in which he lived his entire life - Paulie was between 9 and 10 years old. Paulie lived in a small outdoor kennel and is suspected of never living indoors. That more than explains his extreme fear of rain, wind, thunder and lightning. A dilapidated doghouse was his 'home' which offered very little shelter from the elements. His owners did not interact with him. He lived a lonely life. An angel moved in next door, saw his situation and saw to his rescue. The shelter knew he was unlikely to be adopted as he was old and sick. OPH swooped in to provide a freedom ride north to receive much needed medical care and to find a loving home. Paulie never looked back. Unconditional love is Paulie's middle name. He loves everyone and everyone loves Paulie. His trust in humans never broke down throughout all those years spent outdoors which feeds my unconditional, unwaivering love for this dog. Paulie has joined the list of many dogs in my life; but my life has never seen or experienced a dog like him. My love for Paulie is pure, unconditional and OVER THE TOP - he is truly an amazing dog.
