Eight years ago I was living in Morocco. One day I saw a someone feeding an abandoned puppy . I brought her home and we named her Kelbi (means "my dog", in Arabic), and thought she would be large mix. Surprise! A global traveler, and a small, defiant sausage shaped, broken tailed dictator, Kelbi has the attitude of Napoleon, weighing in at 22 pounds and four inches from the ground. Then, thanks to my neighbor who rescues labs, two years ago Violet entered our lives: the goofiest, most loving people pleaser. They could not be more different, yet they work.
