His name is Icabod. Not Icabod Crane, for he is not a Crane. He is a Heron. He comes to my pond almost daily to feed on the variety of aquatic animals. I enjoy watching him fly in and out, but not eat. I once made the mistake of watching him fish through binoculars and I saw a pair of frog legs sticking out of his mouth . . . Ugh. So now I just watch from afar. Nature at its best!
