A little about me...
Poppy was rescued in Texas after she was abandoned at a public dump. She had recently given birth to a litter of puppies (her rescuers suspected they had been taken to a local outdoor market to be sold) and she was thin and matted and ravenously hungry. She found her way to Helping Hounds in Syracuse and then to Hannibal to her new home. At first she was timid about almost everything, the cats in her new home, the sound of rain, the neighbors' dogs, a knock on the door. Now, two months later, her worries are gone.
