Your Pet's Story or Bio
I adopted Jackson from the SPCA of Western Quebec when he was three and a half months old. He was one of eight puppies in the litter that had been rescued to be given the opportunity for a better life. I fell in love with Jackson instantly once I saw his beautiful face and unique brindle coat. My mother came with me to pick him up and I brought him home on the 4th of July in 2013. I was lucky enough to have my caring mother help me raise him as she would go over to my house during the day so he wouldn't be alone for long periods of time while I was at work. I believe that nurturing is what contributed to Jackson turning out to be such an amazing dog. Surprisingly by chance we found the owners of two of Jackson's siblings and have had regular play-dates with all three of the dogs together at Bruce Pit. Jackson loves people and is a celebrity in my condo complex. He always has to say hi to everyone who happens to be outside in the parking lot. He will make me cross the street on our walks to have the opportunity to meet someone new and get pet if he's lucky. Every night when he is at home on the couch with me, he can spend hours suckling his stuffed shark or soft blanket like a baby. If there are two people on the couch, he has to wedge his way in between them to ensure he gets maximum closeness and petting possible. When I adopted Jackson, he had Giardia that required treatment and has always had a bit of a sensitive stomach. Luckily I found a food that works well for him and he loves when I give him treats of sweet potato, watermelon, apple and cucumber slices. I couldn't have asked for a more amazing companion and love getting to hang out with my best friend every day.
