Pet's Age4
Your Pet's Story or BioLoki was adopted at 3 months old from the Ottawa Humane Society in August 2014. From the get-go this guy has been full of beans, and keeping things interesting. At first he kept my fourteen year old cat Bijou company, but once she went over the rainbow bridge, I adopted Sadie, a little tortie, his current best friend and partner in crime. At first, Sadie didn't really want anything to do with Loki, but who can say no to that face for long! He can be very charming!
Loki is a little piglet with food but requires a limited ingredient diet due to some food intolerances. He LOVES his special (aka expensive organic limited ingredient) treats, and I've even seen him on multiple occasions one-paw catch the treat from mid-air and put it directly in his mouth. He's also very vocal when he needs or wants something. His go-to move is to lie on his back in the middle of the kitchen floor when he wants food and/or attention. We've had stern chats when it happens while i'm cooking and i don't immediately see him! He loves to cuddle, which sometimes includes sleeping on my head, and Sadie is often there too - can't have one without the other. Oh, and this is usually between 4-6am.
I've always loved black cats, and Loki being my second is no different. You'll notice he has a little white patch developing on his forehead, and big bright yellow eyes. He's a funny little duck but I wouldn't trade my little potato for the world! I encourage anyone to adopt a black cat. :)
