I adopted Sunday a year & a half ago from the OHS, she was 8&1/2 months old, this was after I had to put my 17 year old cat Leeda down. I waited till I had a sign to get another cat. It was the first sunny warm Sunday we had that February, I got an e-mail from the OHS, & decided to look through their cats for adoption. I had looked on the site before in those last couple months & seen Sunday. She was a cute pure white kitten, I always wanted a white cat, but I wanted to give a chance to an older cat. This was the third time I’d seen her in 2 months I was looking at their site. So I decided to take a drive that day & see if she was still there, if she was I was going to adopt her. When I got there she was still there, but that’s when they told me that she was completely deaf. She was born that way, & I thought “what difference does it make, cats don’t listen anyways” lol & I suffer from hearing lost myself, so we were a perfect match. Best decision i ever made, she is the cutest, most playful kitty. She plays with everything, especially shadows lol. From the second I walked up to her cage, she looked up at me gave the cutest little meow, I picked her up and she immediately started purring & push her nose in my ear giving kisses. I never let go, she’s my little minou minou, I love her so much. I could have changed her name because she is deaf, but I thought it was the perfect name for her, & I found this gorgeous little kitty on a beautiful warm sunny Sunday. Now atleast once a month (on a Sunday) I send family and friends, Sunday pics of Sunday lol, & everyone loves them I hope u do to. Thank you again OHS for my precious little kitty.
