Your Pet's Story or BioWe adopted Mick from the Ottawa Humane Society in 2013.
Mick was an injured kitten whom somebody found and brought to a shelter in the Ottawa Valley.
His injuries were not healing so he was transferred to the Ottawa Humane Society where he stayed for quite a while.
But when his injuries finally did heal he was still not being adopted, possibly because of the fact that he had a few special needs and a few ‘extra’ toes.
24 toes to be exact! :)
I don’t know … but to me extra toes seem like an extra bonus!
Mick is a polydactyl—our own ’24-toed wonder cat’ — and he looks like he’s always walking around on a pair of snowshoes.
Every few months I send the staff at the Humane Society a photo update of Mick because he can always be found in the most comical situations …
There are fluffy beds and couches, chairs and cat beds throughout the house, but sometimes Mick just prefers the comforts of a bathroom sink or a shoe box (reinforced with duct tape)
Mick is the most laid-back and comical fellow one could ever meet and we could not imagine our home without him.
