A house without a calico cat is not a home. We've had Inara for two weeks. She came as "Tendresse" from the OHS, a foster home and an out-of-province shelter. She has moved around too much, and we're happy to give her a large home with lots of room to play, explore, lounge and -- most important for her -- be underfoot with my every step :-)! This picture shows lifejacket training phase 2. She'll be joining me on my kayak -- just for quiet lake paddling -- as soon as she's comfortable with each step. In training phase 1, the lifejacket covered her favorite sleeping area, so she'd be comfy with it. We brought Inara here to be a companion to our 18-year-old KD cat, who lost his two "siblings" to kidney disease this year. They are becoming friends.
