Your Pet's Story or Bio
We had been wanting to bring home a furry little friend for a while, when two December's ago, Riley's photo was on the Humane Society's website and I knew we had to go meet him. He was in a small room with two other cats, but as soon as we walked in he came right up to us to greet us and was rubbing up on us and purring. He was about 8 months old and had this one long white whisker on his face that just made him look extra cute! As we were filling out our paper work, Riley just wouldn't leave our sides and we knew in the moment that there was no way we were leaving without him. He is very timid when meeting new people for the first time, but once he gets comfortable he is the sweetest little boy ever. He prefers all four paws on the ground but still loves to cuddle and is always close by. Wherever we go in the house, Riley is right there with us.

After adopting Riley, I really wanted to get him a friend to keep him company. We adopted Bandit from the Humane Society last October when he was about 3 months old. As soon as we saw his picture, we went to meet him and instantly fell in love. As we were opening up his cage to meet him, he came right to us purring, and cuddled right into my arms.

The background story that we were told about Bandit's eye was that he had been given up along with two other kittens, and that he only had 2 out of the 3 parts of his eye. The Humane Society made the decision to sew the eye shut, and from the words from our vet, they did an amazing job and took really good care of him. Having only one eye has not stopped this quirky little guy at all! He's so sweet and lots of fun to have in the house! Bandit is always busy doing something. When he's not tackling or cuddling with Riley, he's either playing with his mouse, eating or snuggling with us on the couch.

We just feel so lucky to have found both of these little boys and to have been able to bring them into our home. From the moment we met Riley and Bandit, it was like they both knew that we were coming to meet them specifically, and the rest is history.
