Isis was a rescue kitten and adopted from the OHS into her forever home. Sadly, she had quite an uphill battle from the start - respiratory infection, then spay surgery causing internal bleeding and requiring a second operation, and compounded with stress issues due to her bandaging.

Once home though, she has been nurtured with overwhelming love and a proud example of her namesake - the Egyptian goddess of protection, magic, and life.

Most days, you can find her lounging like a goddess on her silks in the sun. Other days, she can magically disappear and only emerge when she feels the need to be cuddled and worshiped. If you ring the doorbell though, be prepared! Isis is a guard-cat extraordinaire! If she doesn't already alert you that someone is coming up the walk, you'll certainly hear her growl and race to the door when the bell rings.

And, once everyone is safely tucked into bed for the night, she silently creeps down to the front door, curls up, and sleeps there - guarding her family through the night.

Protective, magical, and full of life, The Goddess Isis is indeed an extraordinary cat and we are so blessed to have her in our family!
