"Our rescues on the lookout!"

Alvin was rescued by the OHS during a cold January after he was hit by a car and tangled in a hockey net. By the time they got to him, his rear leg had been badly frostbitten and required amputation. Alvin now lives with 3 legs and a heart full of love, especially for his best friend Lily. Lily and Jellybean are both OHS girls. Lily arrived at the shelter at 8 weeks old and lived there waiting for her family for the next 5 months. Now 5 years old, she is so full of heart and love, a true gentle giant! Jellybean came to the OHS at 3 years old, after being seized from an apartment with her 9 siblings where they were being bred. She spent the first 5 months with her family just sleeping and recovering from her ordeal, and now lives a life full of love and adventures. And, don't let their size difference fool you, Jellybean is the one in charge!
